This is a bad idea. Not mixing species is a golden rule of keeping axolotls. When you get an axolotl, its tank is an axolotl tank only. I suggest finding another tank for your goldfish, and keeping your axolotl in an exclusive tank.
You run the risks of poor water quality, parasites, and diseases. What would you do if your goldfish got ick after you put them in? And as others have said, these are both very dirty animals as far as droppings go.
Also, they do not have the same habitat requirements. Fantails need water temperatures of 72+ Fahrenheit. You'll kill an axolotl if you have it in water that warm for too long, just as you'd kill a fantail if you had it in water cold enough for an axie for too long. If the temperatures aren't right, your animals are going to be stressed out, and more susceptible to diseases and other problems.
I know you care about your animals, but that's why I'm telling you that the honest bottom line here is that doing this would be a disservice to them. Neither species would have the proper environment, and frankly it would be neglectful and irresponsible keeping. Axolotls do not mix with other species. Period. It is an inexcusable risk.
Remember that you've got the privilege of keeping an animal that is critically endangered. Your first priority should be its most comfortable and healthy care. That's part of the responsibility of having an axolotl.
Again, I'm not trying to be mean or anything. You love your axolotl and you want the best for it. But I'm telling you straight up how it is, that if you have an axolotl, you have only an axolotl (in that tank).
