I have heard that gfp axolotls freak out from the black light but what about the blue LED glofish lights? I know that axies dont need light, but i was going to do a dim day light then the blue light at night with the glofish plants so i can watch it swim from my bed. Is this possible?

If you were to do that, it would be a thing you do for show. So you wouldnt be able to keep the lights on all the time. Other people will have to post in order to tell you how long you would be able to keep them on in a day.

I have blue led light on on my axie tank at night, trixie don't mind it a bit, she looks sweet but she also is not a gfp so I would guess to give it a try and watch ur axies behavior to see of it bugs him/her at all but DO NOT use a blacklight! That irritates them and would significantly stress them out! Hope this helps!

I have heard of people using blacklights to show off a GFP axolotl, but it has never been for an extended period of time, mainly just to show the fact that it is GFP. However, I'm not sure what prolonged exposure would do to your little guy. Axolotls in general prefer dark environments, so tank lighting is not necessary, as long as they are not in complete darkness 24/7

I use a blue led light on my axie tank. It doesn't bother him at all when I switch it on. I have it facing the wall so the light isn't shining directly into his water.
