The attached photos were taken one week from each other. I’ve noticed my luecistic axolotls gulle have turned from red to light pink in only one week, however they remain fluffy. I don’t believe anything notable has changed with my water parameters, although I plan to get it checked tomorrow. Any ideas on why this happened or what I can do to help?

check the ph, kh and gh, low ph and kh can cause temporary anaemia as can low mineralisation (gh).
also ensure that the water oxygen levels are good (this would be noticeable though by frequent surface gulping)

I've often noticed such changes in gills colour intensity.
My axolotls usually have paler gills in winter (temp 10°C) but their colour becomes more vivid just after being fed.

could be anemia or a water quality issue, but imo it's probably due to inactivity. not moving = less blood flow in the gills
