Hi,

I really like the Achatinidae species and I plan to maybe breed some and later feed them to my axolotls - But I think I probably will have to crush them shells

Is anybody already doing this? How is it working? any experiences? thoughts?

I wouldn't do that. They can carry some bad stuff that you and your animals don't need to be around. I have some first hand experience with those snails...

even when they are kept in an terrarium and only their offspring is fed? I always thought that only the wild catches were prone to cary parasites and stuff.
Thanks for the warning - so i won't serve them to the axos.

Wasn't keen on the shell crushing idea anyway ;)
