Any problems with putting some ghost shrimp in my tank with my 2 southern crested newts. they are in a 10 gallon tank. i put a few (5-6) in the tank to help keep the tank clean. they are too big for my newts to eat them but every time i put some bloodworms or chopped worms in the tank i check back 15 minutes later and see the shrimp scurrying away with the food.

i took a few of them out and put them in my axolotl tank where they will last a week or so.

are there any fish that are safe to keep with my southern cresteds? i was thinking about a few guppies.

Guppies could annoy your newts, it's not suitable to mix them.

Ghost shrimps are big and a bit agressive, you could try with ones that are smaller, as red cherry shrimps They are easy to find and care too.

thanks. i took the shrimp out tonight and put them in with axolotls. if i find some cherry shrimp i'll give that a try. until then i am going to leave it as is!
