I bred a female gfp melanoid & a gfp male which was either leuc. or golden albino.
They are only a few weeks old, but the offspring appear to be: leucistic, albino, wild-type, and melanoid. When viewed under blue LED lights I'd say over 90% glow green. There are others that don't glow as bright, but have green eyes, then there are some that don't glow or have green eyes. The last ones puzzle me, they appear not to be gfp, I am 100% sure BOTH parent were gfp, so I dont se how any of the offspring could not be..

I think that gfp is a dominant trait. Can anyone confirm this? (usually productive genes are expressed dominantly so it makes sense) If both your parents each have only one gfp and one normal gene then 1/4 babies will not have any gfp genes, 1/4 will have two gfp genes, and 1/2 will have just one gfp gene. (Approximately). I do not know if having two gfp genes produces twice as much gfp, but it might.

This makes perfect sense, both parents were kind of "dim" making me think you're right about them being "het" for GFP.
