Getting small quantities of worms

For those of us with only a few newts buying a big bucket of worms can be wasteful making bloodowrms much more practical. How do feed earthworms regularly to your newts with out waste?

A dozen nightcrawlers from Walmart or any sporting goods store should stay alive at least a month if they are stored on the door in your refrigerator.

The small tubs of earthworms Lertsch mentioned work well and I have never had any die off. Two tiger sals finish off the Canadian worms easily in a few weeks and one axolotl has been slowly making his way through a rub of "big red worms" for about 2 months. If you are concerned about feeding them you can feed them small amounts of coffee grounds or decaying food scraps.
