Gender?

can anyone tell me this is a female or male? I read that you can tell by the bump. But I don’t know how accurate that is.

It's hard to see the area in this picture--I would recommend trying to get a picture both horizontally (like this but with the axolotl in a straighter line) and vertically (directly above the axolotl). Also important to consider: how old is your axolotl?
 
Hard to tell but seems to be female. Then again depends on how old they are.
 
I know that Kirby here is around 7 months and I believe Hoover ☝️ up above there is around the same. I got them from a pet store. They are in separate tanks until I can identify gender. I know it’s hard to tell when they are younger, If you could try to take a guess for Kirby here would it be male or female?

Looks to be female but could you get a closer picture?
