Hey everyone, I might be gettin a red striped garter snake or just a regular garter snake. My mom is awsome, she hates snakes and would not let me get one a while ago, but she changed her mind as long as I keep it concealed.
 
Hey, I dont know if this pertains to this thread, but I found 6 garter snakes today. They are an easy species to keep if given the right conditions and food.
 
Yeah I know, I have been researching them all day. What would you or anyone recomend? Should I spend money on them or catch my own and breed them?
 
I feel it is always better to buy CB pets whenever possible. There are some excellent breeders about the web with amazing garters available. Just recently, I was surprised to find CB albino Thamnphpis radix here in Nebraska!

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
