Hey Guys!
I just wanted to share my tank with you guys. FEEL FREE TO CRITICIZE!
Couple things I want to point out:
The filter flow is fine, Ive been testing it out but just in case, I will build up to disperse
Heat is currently at 68F (room temperature)
I plan on getting a mossball and a big snail in there.
Question: Should I get something to set the food in (plate item)? or can I just drop it in the tank landing in sand. Ive seen both. Thanks!

You shouldn't keep big snails with axies. The axies will try to eat it and if it is big enough it can get stuck in them. I've also heard of big snails bothering axies, but I don't know about that since I have no experience with snails. So if you're going to get one, you'll need to get another tank for it.

Axies like plants and they also help with the water quality so I'd recommend getting some. Javafern and anubias for example are super easy and grow well in pretty much any conditions. Mossballs are nice too.

I like to use a feeding dish in my axie tank. That way they won't ingest as much sand and they'll learn quite fast that's the place where they get food. I have an exoterra feeding dish and I think it looks pretty nice in the tank. Just remember to stir the sand also under the plate to avoid any anaerobic bacteria living under it.

Just checking back in!
I feel like my tank is a little boring. If anyone has ANY ideas, PLEASE state them!

I've people put PVC pipe in their axolotl tanks to act as hides. I think that's pretty cool. Also, plants. Even fake ones until you can get real ones.

I have two big snails and my axies fail to recognize them as food, I think because they move too slow. But then again, my axies have never went for any of my guppies or cherry shrimp either. Perhaps I just have two little wussies :)

How big are your axolotls? I kept guppies and shrimp with mine and they lasted up until they got over 6inches then they began to slowly disappear.
