Hi!
i'm in the process of setting up a planted shrimp tank. there are no animals in ityet just plants.I have put a pre cycled filter in from a previous tank while the plants are growing, and i have needed an amonia source to keep the bacteria alive. I have been putting axolotl pellets in, but one morning the whole tank was consumed by fungus. The pellets, the plants, the gravel EVERYTHING. all white and fluffy. The water peramiters are otherwise great there is just loads of fungus. No matter how many times i get rid of it and change the water it comes back in a day, so it is somewhere in the tak and keeps growing back. I want to douse it with fungus treatment to get the water clear and do a few water changes. Will dosing the tank with anti fungal harm the bacteria in the filter and mess up my cycle?
thanks guys
