Hi, hope someone can help me please ! i have been doing daily water changes on my babies tank , but still some are dying due to fungus . i clean my bowls tank nets with very hot water. would a salt solution help ? and if so how much salt to how much water ? i have about 30 babies remaining from 50. they are nearly 2 weeks old. any help would be great !!!!!!:D
thanks !

I wish I could help - I had exactly the same problem, and assumed in the end (after they all died) that not washing my air stones had been the reason... I know they don't need an air stone, but they seemed to cluster around them, so I left them in.

Do you have anything at all in the water with them that's not getting a hot wash at every water change?

there are some anti fungal products for aquariums "primafix" ithink (or something similar. Not sure if its around in the UK). If this is a reoccuring problem despite cleaning then it might be best to dose the water with some of that. That should kill the fungus on the babies as well as anything infected in the tubs or tanks

When you see an outbreak like this, the problem can be due to decomposition of food items, stress (what are you using for a biological filter), damage from bites, overcrowding...

If your having a real problem with it, then you should thin down the populations to allow the larva to spread out more which reduces bites as well as reduce the bioload on the each enclosure.

Hot water may not be sufficient to disinfect the nets etc... I would suggest getting some net dip (benzalkonium chloride) and using that as a disinfectent. Just make sure to rinse the nets well before you use it.
