Hi we have a fire belly newt. and we've been having problems where there's been film in the water. first we had ghost shrimp, and some died. at the same time we had tetras, which also died. we also had some live plants in the tank, which we thought was the source of all the clearish/ whiteish slime. We cleaned the whole cage with diluted clorox, and let that circulate for a day. we have a filter. But now our lil [herb] is full of the fungus :(

we've read about the salt bath and the refrigerating.... but don't fully understand how to go about that

my husband is going to clean the cage again and just leave water, no rocks or pepples.

any suggestions?

I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding what it is you're trying to describe. Do you mean that your water's cloudy? Or that there's slime growing on everything? Is it growing ON your newt?

yes slime growing on everything even newt!!!!:(:(:(:(

whats the best solutions...do i cycle tank before adding my lil guy back in there...and as for him do i try salt bath and fridge
