My larvae have started outgrowing the brine shrimp hatchlings and i was wondering-has anyone else used live fruitfly maggots as their next food source??

I think they would be fine as an occasional food. They tend to be pretty high in fat, so they might not be the best staple. I imagine it would be somewhat difficult to seperate the maggots from the media, and they will die pretty quickly underwater, which will foul the water. I like live chopped blackworms and bits of frozen thawed bloodworms for larvae that are outgrowing tiny food. I switch to chopped earthworm as soon as they are big enough.
