My babies hatched on the 20th of February and have been eating a mix of bbs and frozen daphnia for two days have front legs and some toes..today they have only had daphnia and are doing fine has anyone else had there's progress this fast and it's a good sign that they are just eating the daphnia isn't it

I would be very interested whether you know for sure that they are eating the frozen daphnia. One day isn't enough to tell, unless you were able to actually see them eating it. Keep us posted.

Yea I watched them they suck a bunch in and a little comes out but definitely eating it belted are a cream color and I was assuming it was the daphnia

Some axolotls will eat frozen food before they have back legs, some will not. If you have an air stone moving the food around it will stimulate feeding but you are risking some of the batch starving to death if that's all you use.

It's not all I'm using I'm just separating it instead of mixing it with the shrimp..fed daphnia this morning and just fed bbs..it was just the first time I didn't mix it and they went nuts over it..I'm too nervous to do just daphnia this soon lol

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
