Looks for all the world like a damselfly larvae that is about to go damselfly BUT UK bugs may look different to Australian ones, or just be something different all together that I've never seen here.

Havent a clue how it could of got in my tank and more important are these a threat to the axies?
theres loads of tiny worm like things ive been taking out but this is the 1st big thing ive found. Its now in a glass out of the tank
They could certainly eat larval axolotls, but they are nothing but a tasty snack for an adult.
It could have arrived in vegetation (females lay eggs inside plant tissues).
Well baby axies are a long way off so thats ok. At least Ive nothing to worry about then. The only thing ive bought vegetation wise is a moss ball but that was months ago.
Had a closer look just now and loads more little wormy things are there again, seems as fast as I take them out more of them appear. On a more positive note it seems my tank may have finally cycled whoooo
