Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since i've posted on here my axolotls and I have been all happy and i've been busy. I have another silly and possibly frequently asked question that i've been trying to sort out, don't know why I didn't just ask here first. I did read through the posts before asking but I couldn't find the exact answer I needed.
I've had a Hailea HC-150A model chiller running on my tank for months now and it's going great but my old filter isn't doing a great job so I thought i'd buy a good external canister filter to go through the chiller instead of having the two things seperate (i've read that it's better for the chiller anyway and it makes sense to me). Unfortunatly when I went to ask the local aquarium shop the lady happilly sold me an expensive filter, told me it would be fine and only when i went to set it up and went to as questions explained that it might not work because of flow rate. *cries* I realise I should have researched this a lot more before buying the filter but I thought asking an "expert" was the right thing to do and i asked a few times if it'd be okay and she said yes.
Anyway whinging aside, my question is, the flow rate for my chiller says 250-1200 L/p and the flow rate on my filter says 800 L/p. Because the filter is almost in between will it be okay or have I just waisted a lot of money? I really hope I haven't but i don't want to risk hurting my wonderful chiller.
Thanks heaps
Tez
