I was looking into possibly getting a small pond. I would like to breed a newt native to Florida and for it to be near threatened or something like that to try to help native populations. It also can't be expensive in it with them looking after themselves for the most part. After they are bred, I would like it if I was able to release the newts into the wild or letting them run around in my community without being harmed. I'm unsure about things like pesticides. Help Please

It is really never a good idea to release newts if not all animals. They can spread disease to local populations.

Not to mention that your state may have laws or regulations against the release of captive animals (and I bet Florida of all states does).
