I have a Juvenile... I think it’s a she.... she keeps doing this strange floating then swimming then floating thing...any ideas?

Floating can be a sign of stress if it's done uncontrollably (and if the axolotl seems to have trouble getting back down).
It can also just be an axolotl that likes floating.

Can you give some more information?
Age? Size of tank? What do you feed and how often? What are your ammonia, nitrites, nitrates values? Temperature and pH?

All good guys thanks. She sank back down last night as this morning she’s still on the bottom. She may have been just having a “fun float” although there is a lot of poop in one corner of her tank..
thanks so much for the help.

One very small axie... she’s had to be separated from her mate after he/she had a cannibalistic moment (her mate is the same age and size)
