Floating plants in an axolotl tank?

I have been thinking about putting floating plants in to my axies tank. I am not sure what types to put in though, do you have any ideas?

I have Salvinia, and a fair bit of Elodea floating. Duckweed is also a good option.

Salvinia and Duckweed are great for Nitrate removal

Amazon frogbit is also good for removing nitrates. I've recently moved to live plants in both my axolotl tanks, and plan to try some frogbit from my fish tanks in my axolotl tanks.

If you have an open tank Pistia stratoites is a very beautiful plant as long as it's getting enough light.

Yes I should have mentioned that light is a must for a healthy lasting plants. I use one 14w tube
