I just fed my babies their first meal (waited a little over 24 hours when they were swimming a bit more) and they were zooming around happily. Now some of them are floating at the top, vertically. They still swim around when I tap the glass and such, but I'm concerned...why are they doing this??

I've never raised axies from eggs so I'm really nervous that I did something wrong. I don't want to lose my babies :(

That just means they have a little air in their tummies. Usually babies don't know how to gulp air as well as adults do. Just wait a bit and it will pass harmlessly from their system :)
No worries, your babies are just fine :)

Ohyes I agree with grace My hatchlings had their third meal and the one was floating up on the top for a long time a few hrs.. then by the end of the day it stopped... ;)

That's a relief! I was worried about the little suckers XD. I couldn't find anything relating to that condition, so I had to ask. They look better now; I lowered the water a bit, so that might help a little too, at least in catching their food.

Thanks! :D
