Floating log hide

I added a new hide to my juvie tank- it's a floating aquarium log. My babies love it! I'm gonna have to get the larger size for my adult tank. I like that it adds another layer to the aquarium for them to hang out in. Here's my Goldie in the log.

I usually just have a load of elodea and they climb around in it, but this looks fun!

I got it on Amazon. I think in the $15-$20 range-the bigger ones are a bit more. It's made by zoo med. they also make a turtle log that I think is pretty much the same thing.

I was thinking about cork tubes but I suspect they float above the water. Too high

Yes, but you could use plant weights or stones to control buoyancy.

My leucistic used to play in her log hide all the time she's passed now and the other three never used it, which is a real shame. So cute when their heads poked out.
