I love the way the wilds look! anyone eles got eggs that hatched so far this year?

Wow, that yellow wild looks awesome~ What are you feeding them?

i just made a topic of the babies from burrito's new year's day spawning

My babies are due at the weekend or early next week (eggs laid 12th Jan) - expected to be 50/50 golden albino and wildtypes, but I'll update once I know for certain.

Thanks guys! Yes the yellow with black spots is very interesting it caught my eye. they are still eating brine shrimp. my Leucistics just started to hatch yesterday 50/200 are already out, il post some of those later on.

Those are very beautiful little guys! I am new to Axolotls, and cannot with to get my own! I love they yellow speckled looking one, very cool!

For anyone who is interested here is a update. Only two weeks later and they have grown so much in my opinion; they are eating blood worms now and have almost doubled in size.

Wow those yellow wild types are really nice. I wish I had a tank for one right now. If you breed another batch I'll have to grab one off you.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
