Hello, I have a 20 gallon tank and I would like to get my first newt/salamander to live in it. I was thinking a fully or mostly aquatic species that is a good for a beginner. I have experience in keeping fish, turtles, and geckos plus I volunteer where I work with numerous other reptiles and amphibians. I was thinking of maybe Pseudobranchus Sp. or dwarf sirens (maybe two or three). I would be open to any suggestions or advice, thanks a ton .

Pseudobranchus would be OK, if you have a source for them. I had some that died for no obvious reason, so I don't know how hardy they are; it may have been "just me". Some other aquatic options that are good for beginners are axolotls, Spanish ribbed newts, or Cynops cyanurus (blue-tail firebelly).
