Basically guys, I posted here oh - around late November 04 looking for advice about my first ever firebellied newt, he was overly stressed from a somewhat bumpy car journey, and you guys were all great about my n00bish questions - so I figured I'd drop back in (and forget my old username and what email address I'd registered with, but never mind!) and let you know that he's still around, even with me at the helm ;)

And! Post some pictures, to prove it!

So thanks, guys :D I've been half-worried that he might be a little on the skinny side, though, he makes a huge mess when he's eating. Never really sure how much of it he actually gets. Ah well, he's active and responsive, so I can't really ask for much more XD

Glad to see he did well for you! He's a little bit on the skinny side, but if he's eating well I wouldn't worry.

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
