Fire salamanders : better in twos?

I am thinking of getting some fire salamanders, I have all the preperations, like a well sized viv of 60cmX45cmX60cm .I was just wondering if I should get them in a couple or would one just be ok?


I may be getting them from 888reptiles and I was wondering if they have good prices . If anyone has got thier stock from them before?

2 is only necessary if you want to breed them. If you do want 2, you have to get them when they're the same size, and try your best not to get a weak one and big one. I had 2-the big, strong one never let the other eat anything and the weak one eventually died, and I'm now afraid that the bigger one might be getting obese!
