Fire belly newt help

I just bought a chinese fire belly newt about two weeks ago. he spends most of his time out of water, and hasnt eaten. so far i have tried frozen blood worms, and a meal worm. when should i feed him, how, and why isnt he eating? im new to the newt so idk any of this.

living on land can be caused by stress, or sometimes a bad water quality. Try feeding him live earthworms, most times this works the best.
