Hi all,
I just went to clean my fire belly toad tank and my one girl has a really swollen back leg and foot. She is still able to more it more or less normally and is eating/acting normal. To be honest I didn't look at her specifically yesterday so I'm not sure when it started, but she was fine on Wednesday. I have her in a 10 gallon tank with one other toad that has 3 legs (she is missing her rear leg). The other toad has no swelling and seems fine. I've had Eve (the one with the swollen leg) for a couple years now and Tubby (3 legged one) for about 3 months. Any ideas?
I did call around to vets and there's only one vet in my area who will look at frogs and it's going to be $65 to walk in the door. I love her but that's a lot of money for a fire belly toad especially when the receptionist wasn't sure if they had ever even looked at a toad before. . . . .
Thanks,
Ventura
