How many fire bellied newts can I keep it up the same terrarium? I'm getting two and my terrarium is around 100 liters.

How many fire bellied newts can I keep it up the same terrarium? I'm getting two and my terrarium is around 100 liters.

I've never kept more than 4 at a time, but according to the Caudata culture care sheet, if it is c. Orientalis that you are referring to, then 4-8 would suffient for that size aquarium if it is all water. I currently have 4 in a custom 18 gallon aquarium and they are fine, though I've only had them for a few days.

I'm sure someone on here has more personal experience and with any species there are always exceptions to the article, I.e.- extremely aggressive individuals.
