Finally caved and bought sand

I love the way it looks ! I used 15 pounds of black sand in my 40 gallon breeder tank. Its about an inch thick, maybe less. They seem to love it too !

I use a 40 gallon breeder stand made by petco . Its metal and modern looking

Nicely done! Do make sure there are no sharp shards, as I've heard that is sometimes a problem with black sand, but congrats! The tank looks amazing!

I just set up my 40breeder last week. They're the best!

Thanks! Yes i heard that about tahitian moon sand which is why I didnt get that brand :/ the sand is by stoney river. Id definitely recommend it , very soft sand and not much rinsing needed at all , i was impressed!

Mom and pop pet shop in new hampshire lol. I got red sand too its awesome!
