Hi all!
I am thinking about upgrading from a 20 gallon long tank to a 45 gallon tank. I currently have a Fluval U2 A470 filter for my 20 gallon tank. Obviously this filter will not be big enough for the tank I am planning on getting. I have been doing a lot of research, and it seems like everyone has a different opinion on how to gauge what capacity filter you should get for your tank. I will only have my one axolotl in my tank (for the time being lol), as well as several live plants (hornwort, java moss, pothos, and red root floaters). Would it make sense to get a filter that matches that water capacity of my tank, or should I get something that filters more gph? Taking suggestions for affordable filters that would best suit my tank.
Thanks!

Hi! It doesn't matter, if it’s a good filter and doesn’t create a big flow in the aquarium it’s perfect. You could try with an adjustable filter.
