Question: Filter making bubbles?

I woke up this morning and my filter was making bubbles and there is a thin layer if bubbles on top. Is this bad? If so how to I fix it and why would it do this?

I don't think it's a problem.

Usually bubbles on the top of your water is an artifact of your dechlorinator. You can try switching brands and see if that helps.

I noticed i get bubbles due to food decomposing. With a 20% water change (vacuuming out the food - even in the places you cant see) the bubbles go away for me.

I got it a few times when I was still cycling the tank.
