Filter hugging newt

My newt has found a new favourite place, 'wedged' between the filter and the side of the tank. It's obviously a beloved place but should I worry about the fact it might be a warmer place than is healthy? Or should I think that if it were uncomfortable it wouldn't be so beloved?

As long as it can get away from the spot easily, I wouldn't worry. Mine occasionally sit ontop of the filter.
