Filter help needed

I recently got a biological filter that hangs on the side of the tank. Is there any way to slow the waterfall down that runs into the tank as its pretty fast and creates alot of disturbance where it hits the water and I dont think Crunchie is too keen on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can raise the water level up so the water dose not fall into the tank but runs in. You can put a pice of decor castle or log to break up the flow. Can tie plastic plant to the side of the tank let them hang under the water fall.
