I have two female dobros and one male. The male's crest is about 1/2 inch tall. I found two eggs with white centers. Are they fertile?

First of all, congrats on the eggs! Although I am not a 100% of this but I believe that most eggs are white when first laid and you can not tell if they are fertile until you see development. If you see mold on them later they are infertile. I also think that T. dobrogicus love to lay eggs on leaves and fold them.

Make sure to remove them from the tank as soon as you can.

I dont have any live plants in the cage. I think I will put some plastic strips for laying. The fake plants are too firm to fold the leaves.

Congrats! You just have to wait and see. If the white part of the eggs begins to change shape in a few days, it is fertile. Note that dobrogicus have the 50% egg mortality problem that all crested newts have. So half of all eggs will fail, regardless of fertility.
