Is it posible for a female alpine newt to lay eggs without any input from the male? If so how would I tell or would I just have to wait and see if they develop?
they will lay even w/o males-but if she hasnt been with one recently then they are infertile (some caudates can store sperm -but not sure how long and if alpines can-would need to look it up)
