Female having trouble laying and eating eggs!

this is advocaars second batch. she started laying late last night and this morning there arent a lot more than there were last night. there must be about 40-50 at the moment. her last batch was around 500. she still looks gravid and shes still trying to lay eggs but it just doesnt seem to be happening, or happening at any great speed. might she be having a bit of trouble? also, i get the feeling she doesnt want to be a mum. i just caught her deliberately eating her eggs. is this normal!? im pretty sure this isnt where her eggs are going because it seems to be the same ones from last night still there rather than different ones replacing the eggs getting eaten. im really confused. help!

Axies don't have a maternal instinct, so eating the eggs is not a deliberate act, not a post-partum abortion, if you will.

My axy laid all her eggs over a 48 hr period so just wait it out and make sure there's lots of surfaces and plants for her to choose from.
