Hi all!

As the title says, my GFP Melanoid female laid a batch of eggs with my Leucistic as the father. About half of her eggs are white and half are dark brown, even in the same little clumps and strings of eggs. Is this common? I thought Melanoids were only supposed to have brown eggs.

Edit: After some contemplation, it may be that my golden albino also laid, but she (?) doesn't seem mature enough yet. We can't even positively call her a "she" yet. She also was not acting all frantic yesterday like my Melanoid was (due to the laying) and just seemed like her normal self. She also was not bloated (egg laden) prior to the egg laying like the Melanoid was. As well, there were some clumps that had both brown and white eggs mixed in the clump. That *could* be the answer, but it seems very unlikely to me. Would they both lay the same night?

Pretty sure my Golden Albino laid the eggs at this point. I can't figure out how to delete my original post. I feel like an idiot. Please delete if possible.

And meanwhile, my GFP wildtype just laid eggs yesterday. Father is GFP Leucistic. Every one of her egg embryos is half white, half black! Maybe that's temporary, as today the white part looks a bit bigger than the black.
