Hi guys i was just wondering what you feed them and what's healthy for Axolotls? I am thinking on purchasing 2 in a 55 gallon tank with sand as a substrate .

Earthworms are a great staple diet for axolotls but there are many alternatives including pellets and even frozen foods like bloodworm. Avoid frozen daphnia and brine shrimp as it goes unnoticed by axolotls and fouls the tank water terribly and fast.

Okay thank you very much. In only able to get frozen or pellet food so is there any you would recommend? ?

mine really seem to enjoy frozen bloodworms
that is all I feed mine and theyre fat and happy

Bloodworms are deficient in calcium and shouldn't be used as your only staple.
