Hi I just have a question about feeding. What should I feed them when they're young and when they're older? Blood warms, pellets and can you get the stuff in Australia. Thank you

Jumsyie, I don't mean for this to come off as rude, but many of your basic questions are answered on the Axolotl site, as well as dozens of times throughout the forum. A little bit of research will go a long way!

Hey mate,

I fed my axolotls bloodworms to start, but they are so messy. So then I went to pellets but eh they are no better.

MEAL WORMS are the absolutely BOMB for feeding axies, mine eat at least 5 each daily. They don't stop, they just keep eating like machines. Meal worms are easy, just use tweezers and drop it right ontop of their heads and they will go in for the kill, if they miss the wriggle around on the bottom for a bit and the axies will grab them.

Meal worms are the cleanest and apparently best good in my experience. All this talk of axies not eating seems like a 8/10 thing. Mine eat mealworms till they cbf looking up for food anymore lol
