I have read many different things on feeding pinkies to tiger salamanders. I have read that it is all around bad for them. But i also read it is a great source of protein. So should i begin feeding my tigers pinkies or not?

Maybe once a couple of months, but I wouldn't give them any more often than that. I would stick to earth worms.

My tigers get a pinkie about every 2 weeks. They're a good source of calcium, but are very nutrient dense.

As Kaysie suggests, pinkies are very energy dense. With that comes the potential for obesity for which tigers have a natural inclination. I personally have never fed pinkies, but rather nightcrawlers (nutrionally complete), dusted crickets and other invertebrates. If you decide to feed pinkies, be cautious of obesity which is an unhealthy state for the animal. If you have not seen these articles from Caudata Culture on nutritional values of foods for caudates, you may find them beneficial:

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
