after all these years these guys (Cynops pyrrh.) know that if the BIG Hand appears from the Sky there will be FOOD!

(their tank looks a bit bare because I took some of the plant pots out to vacuum the gravel)

Great video! Its always lovely to see hungry newts eat so well.
 
Looking good. I feed them much larger pieces (almost as long as they are themselves). OK, I have around 150 newts, so larger pieces is more time-saving ;)
 
Your newts are so well behaved! Mine usually react to the smell of food by swimming around headlessly and biting random body parts of each other :happy:

oh yes, mine do that too. Hand-feeding allows some control over the chaos! I cut these up because these worms are about 8 inches long, and if there's any piece sticking out of a newt's mouth the others will come and try to eat its head. They'll try to eat my fingers too if I stick them in there.
