Feeding schedule

I don't know if you should worry of "getting him fat" but I feed mine close to everyday and they're fine.



By the way I feed them 1 to1 1/2 small earthworms. It depends on the day before....

I was just wondering if anyone knows approx. how much/often a hongkong should be fed. I have a new newt, and compared to my previous ones, this guy eats a lot; i'm feeding him blood worms. Every time I look in the cage he's in the corner where i put the food looking for more. I don't want to over feed, but i don't want to deprive him either.

Overfeeding is rarely a problem for newts. Feed enough to keep him at a healthy weight (a bit plump is fine). Some wild caught newts arrive carrying parasites and may genuinely need more food for this reason.
