Hello all. I've been feeding my axi salamander pellets and freeze dried bloodworms, but I'd like to start feeding him earthworms. However, my mother will not allow me to bring live earthworms in the house. I'm also heading back to school soon and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to have live earthworms in my dorm either. Another thing against me is that I don't have a car so I wouldn't be able to go out and get some. So my question is, can I feed my axi freeze dried earthworms? I can order them and can keep them in my dorm since, well, they're dead and all. If there's also anything else that would be good to feed him, I'm happy to receive suggestions! Thanks :)

I'd like to add, my axi is about 3 1/2 to 4 inches long so I'm not sure if u should wait until he's a bit bigger or if it would be okay now.

I had a small worm farm in my dorm without issues. Just get a small storage container and just poke small holes in it. A healthy worm farm won't have any particular odor.

Or just stick with axolotl sinking pellets. You can order them from Michael Shrom in the caudata for sale section, or order them from the University of Kentucky(google Sal-Site).

Freeze dried anything is not the best for axies - stick with the pellets or keep a worm farm outside somwhere it won't be disturbed.
