As I'm unsure of my axies age I'm curious about his feeding. In my other post I said about stopping his cat meat diet ( that his previous owners were feeding him) and have been giving him earthworms and he's eating 2 a day. I haven't put more than that in per day should I be to see if he wants more? Is there chance of over feeding or do they generally leave food alone when they've had enough?

Yes, there's a chance of overfeeding. Adult axolotls only need to be fed once every other day.

I don't know how old yours is though. It can regurgitate food if its been overfed.

Your axie looks like it's of a decent weight. I would feed it 3x a week

Sometimes it depends on the axolotl
Aries will only one worm (per feeding session) while Saturn will eat 2-3.
I feed them every second day in summer and every third day in winter

My axolotls (adults) tend to ignore food after they are full, however they have been eating pellets and I'm not sure if live food would promote a different response. It looks like your axolotl is healthy and not overweight, so I wouldn't worry. If he's still growing, feeding him everyday won't hurt, but if he's nearly full grown, feeding him every other day would be better. From my experience, they noticeably slow down with their eating as they get older and just ignore the food.
