I think one of my Fire-belly newts is pregnant. It is very chubby, and there are 3 other newts in there with her so most likely she is pregnant. If I do get eggs, where would I get a culture of mirco worms or live daphnia. And I should take the eggs out and put them in a separte tank right. Should the tank have a filter, how often should I change the water in the larve tank.

Hi John, that's great. First off, the word "pregnant" does not apply to newts, although we understand what you mean. She is gravid (I hope). I assume that at least one of the other newts in the tank is male? And are you quite sure that she's not becoming bloated? There is a photo of what a gravid newt looks like at:

You can get microworm cultures many places, just do web search or try Aquabid.com. The best place for daphnia is dallasdiscus.com. But you can probably get by on only live blackworms, if you have a petshop with them.

I'm pretty sure its not bloat. It looks like only the abdomin is afected. I can get live bloodworms. Is that sufficient.

Are you sure they are live bloodworms, not blackworms? Like many common names used at pet stores, there is confusion about which is which. For clarification, see:
http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/worms.shtml

Assuming what you have are indeed BLACKworms, it is possible to get larvae to eat them right from the start, either chopped, or just the smallest ones picked out.
