Hi everyone,
I'm a graduate student studying the toxins of newts and salamanders. I would like to have some European species (Chioglossa and Salamandrina in particular) to examine for my research. I was wondering if anyone knew how difficult it would be to get samples, what kinds of permits are necessary, etc. A small, non-lethal skin sample is all I need (although more is of course better). I would like only a few individuals per species. Does anyone know anything about this, or who would be a good person to contact for more information? Thanks!!
