So I have reached a point in my Laotriton Laoensis addiction I need some advice.
Over the last five years, I have acquired a good sized population of WC adults. I have bred those adults a number of times successfully and have 500+ captive bred individuals. At all times I have kept the different pairings offspring's separate and have very good logs of every pairing and the results.
I have also established a trust and bought a building and annuity with it to ensure that for the next 50 years, any personal issues that affect me will not affect the collection.
This is a species I care deeply about and one I do not ever plan on not keeping, they are to me the pinnacle of Herp keeping. As such, I both want to ensure that the species remains available to hobbyists while also ensuring I maintain a stock that could potentially be used for conservation.
Any suggestions for how best to conduct breeding going forward?
Anything I should monitor within my population?
Any advice from individuals that manage ex-situ projects?
