My axie eggs are now 16 days old, I keep them at 18-20 degrees. I'm keeping them in a tub 5 x 8 inches with bout 2 inches of water in it. I do bout 30/40% water change a day with dechlorinated water. They've grown loads, they're bigger than my first lot of axies were after 1 week after hatching- about 10mm. But none of them have hatched yet. Am i just stressing for no reason? Its just there doesn't seem to be much room for them in their eggs.

16 days isn't that old. If you can still see yolk (pale yellow colored material along the belly) then there is no rush for them to hatch. They won't start eating until the yolk is gone anyway. Occasionally, larvae will be ready to hatch and need some help to get out, but it most cases it's better to wait and let them hatch naturally.

Hi there, as Jennewt says - nothing to worry about.

I've had spawn laid days apart; but weeks apart hatching - kept in the same conditions; as long as you can see the Axolotls taking shape - I wouldn't worry.

Cheers, Phil

thanks guys, i just get a bit stressy! They've started hatching this morning, 3 out of 22 .:D
