I thought my eggs had a while still to develop but i woke up this morning and 2 out of 8 had hatched! Got them in a small container and will put them in a hatchery trap (floating in my tank with the filter )tomorrow. Will also but an air pump for my air stone.
Just want to check if im doing it right?!

Started of the brine shrimp hatching yesterday night so when can i feed them to the babies.. After 24hours of their hatching?

When will the other axies hatch?
Is there anything else i should do?

I don't think you need to worry about an air stone as well. Since you will be keeping them in a filtered tank, that will take care of oxygenation and clean water. An airstone would probably bother them and create too much current.

The others should hatch within the next couple of days - post pictures if you can!

Hey, axie babys survive on egg yolk so only start to need food around 48 - 72 hours after hatching. I always started to feed them between 24 - 48 hours, so dont stress you have got time. Once your brineshrimp has hatched just rince in fresh water and feed to your babies. You will see them start jumping its very cool to watch.

There must have been some daphnia eggs in with my axie eggs from the seller as daphnia have hatched theres only a few but ive put them in with the babies thats alright to do isnt it?

GUYS I NEED HELP :(

Its been three days and the other eggs havent hatched! One of thems gone cloudy so im assuming its dead and the others arent wiggling like they used to when i change the water :( do you guys think they are dead? They look completely normal though..

Cloudy ones will have died, sorry.:(
As for the other eggs, do they move with a lil poke from your finger? Have you got any water flow in with them? An air stone is enough, but they tend to die with no water movement, I found that out the hard way.

Initially i had no watermovement but when they hatched i put the filter on for the remaining eggs. Theres three eggs left to hatch after some died.. They wiggle sometimes not all the time tho.. :/

Is that the same with hatched axolotls? Cause I was told to separate em into smaller groups to avoid cannibalism etc, but i only have one air stone an its pretty big, no good really for all the small groups i have atm :/

If the wiggle sometimes then they are fine, they will come when they are ready.

Hatched axies are fine together while they are tiny, but you do need to give them a good amount of space to grow.
Axolotls are not cannibals. They have poor eye sight, so they tend to snap at whatever moves in the water, thinking its food. This is why they will bite off tails and feet of there tank mates, they arnt going for another axie they are just going for what they think is food. Hope that helps.
As for the air stone, can you put divider in the tank so they have there seperate spaces but one air stone can still circulate for all.

Axolotls are certainly cannibals, especially younger individuals.

How do i get the babies to eat/how do i know if theyre eating?

Basically, i only had a small amount of daphnia to give them until the bbs hatch in the shallow tub with the hatchlings. I put some right infront of the two babies mouths but they did nothing :( its been three/two days since hatching and i dony want them to die !

Putting live food in with them is all you can do as fer as I know. Its up to them to catch the food as it swims past. You should see them do a lil jump we the grab they food.
Do you have really good water flow with the brineshrimp? I always had the temp around 30 degrees for my brineshrimp it took 24 hours to hatch one batch.

They need to be loaded up with food. At this age, they aren't going to seek food. They'll eat it if it comes towards them.

Try putting your brine shrimp over a heating pad and leave the lights on in that room 24/7. It shouldn't be taking more than 2 days to hatch. Did you add salt to their water?

I have been looking through old posts on this subject and found out that adult daphnia is too big for newly hatched axolotls. you need baby daphnia or brineshrimp.
Do you have a brineshrimp hatchery set up?

Yeah the daphnia are babies and they just randomly hatched in the water that the axie eggs came in.. Yeah i did the salt but i dont think i left it long enough before i added the eggs so ive set up another, left the salt in the water 24 hours added eggs this morning and got water pump in there and its under a light.

See if that works better :) the daphnia in with the babies is very few though.. I put some infront of the axies mouths and the daphnia were wiggling but the babies did nothing :( fingers crossed brine shrimp hatch tomorrow and can be fed.

Oh yeah how do you guys feed the brine shrimp cause i know they will die after a few hours in the axie water so howd you do it?

If your brineshrimp are at a temp of around 25-30 degrees that will help them hatch.
I drained my brineshrimp rinsed in fresh water and put the whole lot in once a day.
I noticed if that was done in the morn there was still some alive in the evening.
When iI set mine up it was in 750mls of water, a quater of a teaspoon of shrimp eggs and 1 tablespoon of salt. I found if using tonic salt they were ok to just drain and put straight in to feed.

atm mine arent in a tank, they in tupperware boxes because my tank is way too big to keep an eye on them. Do I need an airstone when they so small or can it wait until they a bit bigger?

They should be fine as long you keep up on the water changes. If you have a tank thats big enough for all its much easier if you dont have any substrate or hiding places while they are so little.

Time shouldn't matter - I put my salt in, add water, then the eggs and most of the salt doesn't dissolve until I add the airstone. I'd recommend adding a heating pad as well. The warmer it is, the faster they'll hatch.

With the brine shrimp, make sure you don't get the shells. Turn the air off, shine a light in the middle, and then Use a pipette or turkey baster to suck up the clump. Strain it/rinse it and add to your containers. In a few hours, suck up as much of the mess as possible. I usually do a water change at that time and add fresh water. Some like to do it before they feed, but I'd rather get the mess out sooner before it fouls the water.

How do you strain and rinse. Yeah maybe thats the problem then my rooms at about 18degrees celcius for the axies so maybe its too cold?
I think some may have hatched but dont know if it was my eyes playinf tricks.

Ive ordered some live daphnia because they need something, just hoping that there will be some baby daphnia in with them! And im gunna order decapulated brine shrimp eggs you guya think theyre any better?
